The quaint seaside town of Happisburgh is home to the oldest working, independently operated lighthouse on the Norfolk coast. If one is willing to climb the 133 steps, fantastic views of the surrounding coast can be enjoyed from the top of Happisburgh's church tower. Looking inland, you can also see Norwich Cathedral on a clear day. Many famous people have visited Happisburgh, including Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sir John Betjeman and H.M. Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.
