Placing a picture beside your link

While purchasing or editing a link, you can choose to upload a picture. This picture will be displayed to the left of your link.

Using a picture from your website

Your website may have several suitable pictures, though you will need to download them to your computer first. You can do this in your web browser. Visit your website and use the right mouse button to click on the picture you wish to use.

A menu will appear. Left-click on the Save Picture As menu option, and save the picture where it can easily be found as you'll need to find it again when uploading the picture.

Using a picture from a digital camera

Digital cameras are usually set to favour picture quality over file size. When uploading images to the internet, however, small file sizes result in faster page-loading times and a better overall user experience. Your picture will be optimised for the web, but we ask that the file size of any picture you upload be less than 2Mb. You can accomplish this by setting your camera's quality settings to the lowest levels.

Unfortunately we can't help with the use of your digital camera - however, when you are ready to transfer your picture it's recommended you put it somewhere accessible such as the desktop.

Uploading the picture

On the edit link screen underneath your contact details (tel., fax, e-mail) you will see an option to Modify your link picture. Click on the Browse button as shown below:

A file selection window will appear. Choose the file you sourced earlier and left-click on the OK button. You can continue editing your link or save your changes.
