Norwich is something of a shoppers' paradise and there are few, if any, of the leading high street names which do not have a presence in Norfolk's capital city. Right in the very centre of this historic English city is the Castle Mall, a unique underground retail centre.

Its distinctive, highly impressive design affords the shopper a light, bright and airy environment in which to shop. Most modern shopping malls are to found on the outskirts of major towns, but Norwich's Castle Mall is the exception to the rule. Worthy of special mention are the Broadland twin villages of Wroxham & Hoveton, separated only by the river Bure which flows between them. On the Hoveton side of the Bure is to be found Roys of Wroxham, the biggest village store in the world. This is no idle claim, we do assure you, but just how Roys became to be known as Roys of Wroxham, rather than of Hoveton, is one of those mysteries lost in the mist of time.
